Solimán López (Burgos, 1981) is a media artist based in Mallorca who uses his art to reflect on the relationship between the analog and the digital. It is a new concept of cryptocurrency that is already programmed. We are synthesizing it in DNA and introducing it in olive oil. We want to incorporate the artistic factor into a sector with a lot of speculation. It will be available for consumption, but I propose it as an oil to be used as raw material.
At the beginning there is always a process of great expectation. This has also happened with the real estate sector in Mallorca. Not all the land is good, but NFTs are a technology that helps to understand the value of digital archives and how to make economy of the intangible. I am sure they are not going to change the contemporary art world. The production is the same. It is a new tool from which to approach digital art production. It depends on the artists, not on the platforms.

El mundo criptomonedas

Empecemos con algunas definiciones rápidas. Blockchain es la tecnología que permite la existencia de las criptomonedas (entre otras cosas). Bitcoin es el nombre de la criptodivisa más conocida, aquella para la que se inventó la tecnología blockchain. Una criptodivisa es un medio de intercambio, como el dólar estadounidense, pero es digital y utiliza técnicas de encriptación para controlar la creación de unidades monetarias y verificar la transferencia de fondos.
Una cadena de bloques es un registro descentralizado de todas las transacciones en una red de pares. Mediante esta tecnología, los participantes pueden confirmar las transacciones sin necesidad de una autoridad central de compensación. Las aplicaciones potenciales pueden ser las transferencias de fondos, la liquidación de operaciones, las votaciones y muchas otras cuestiones.
Desde una perspectiva empresarial, es útil pensar en la tecnología blockchain como un tipo de software de mejora de procesos empresariales de próxima generación. La tecnología colaborativa, como blockchain, promete la capacidad de mejorar los procesos empresariales que se dan entre las empresas, reduciendo radicalmente el «coste de la confianza». Por esta razón, puede ofrecer un rendimiento significativamente mayor por cada dólar de inversión gastado que la mayoría de las inversiones internas tradicionales.
